SESSION ONE
Historic Wood Flooring

The first session was led by Toby VanDyke. Toby has over 30 years of experience in restoring historic wood floors. Participants gained hands-on experience in renovating and repairing wood floors in historic buildings. They learned about the materials and techniques required to successfully refinish historic wood floors and restore them to their former beauty.

SESSION TWO
Historic Masonry

The second session was led by Jerry Kemna. Jerry has over 47 years in the trade and 25 years owning Kemna Restorations, a commercial masonry restoration business. He spoke briefly about, "What is masonry restoration?" explaining the types and evolution of materials, architectural vs. structural, and the modernization of the industry.  He also gave us some hands-on experience in masonry restoration and associated skills.

Each participant received a gift to help them get started in the wood floor and masonry trades!
